I bought my bike in Belgium and brought it here on the plane so it has emotional value to me too. And the parts won't be all that expensive. My bike cost me about $1000 10 years ago.

$300 in 10 years is awesome! Especially considering how much use you get out of it (and how much it costs to maintain cars!!!!!!). I'll often pay more for good service.
